End of Exams!!

IT'S OVER!
seven years at the same school, 13 years of education behind me, Primary School - DONE, Secondary School - DONE, Sixth Form College - DONE!
I can't believe it, it hasn't quite sunk in yet! BUT IT'S OVER!
Until university in September.
I caught myself out there...it's not quite done.

I remember sitting in my Kitchen when i was about seven and planning with my parents where I wanted to go for university. - Admittedly i had originally aimed for Oxford, (dream big) but my directions have changed a little since then and i'll happily settle for Canterbury!
The next few days are going to be a blur.
Tomorrow i'm doing some last minute holiday shopping, Friday Imay or may not be going to see a production of 'Tap Dogs' in London's West End, Saturday i have reserved to  sleep and pack and Sunday i'm going to Newquay - Cornwall with a group of friends for four days!
Squeeeeeee!

I'm getting so excited, in Newquay it's four days relaxing, surfing lessons, horse riding, deep sea fishing and just being with my group of friends (some of them i've been with since we started secondary school back in year seven and some of them are newer friends and others i've know for about sixteen years.)
It's admittedly probably the last time we'll all be together as a 'group', it's bittersweet, it'll be amazing to all just spend a few crazy days together, but after we've all gone to Uni there's quite a few i probably won't see much again, it's like a final big group effort.

(The utter cheese in the next bit almost makes me cringe, so feel free to skip.)

It's weird thinking i've been at the same school for seven years, i've become who i am today because of everything that's happened there. (I did warn you,) I'm the person i am because of the people i met, some of them taunted the hell out of me for a few years, and some of them were by my side every step of the way.
It's amazing the kind of people who are willing to stand by you when you need them.
I'm almost sad to be going, I was one of those people who almost managed to enjoy going to school, but then again I am so, SO ready to go to university and see what's coming next.

Exams.

Today was the two hour A-Level English Literature paper which went incredibly well! Result.
I managed to write 11 satisfactory pages of analysis and answers for the two questions we were given. I've been revising for months in advance (Psychology was depressing and I've already completed my Drama A2 exam.) but it definitely paid off! It was the first exam i felt i've really answered well in (...here's hoping i haven't just jinxed my results.)
Next up is the two psychology exam left before my summer holidays officially begin! The Theatre studies written was last Wednesday, it went fairly okay but i got a little confused and there was a general consensus that two and a half hours wasn't enough to answer the questions in as much detail as we would have liked. However our performance pieces were so much fun, I've never loved and hated improvisation so much before in my life and fortunately the marks will help lift the overall grades.
I'm taking tomorrow off as a 'recuperation' day then the final slog for the psychology exam.
If i get it right now then it means i don't have to do it again
..."determination will out!" :)

"Extra, Extra!"

So today i was an extra on the upcoming 2011 film "The Great Ghost Rescue" and it was a tonne of fun. I met the chaperone's and the seven other girls at Waterloo station before we walked around the IMAX cinema and arrived at "THGR Base" at 2pm. Although the call was 2pm we didn't actually get on set until around 4pm, until then we were given trailers so relax in and sandwiches, cake and drink for refreshments. The day before we each had a call to say we could wear either shorts, jeans or skirts with summer shoes and nothing that was either green or red. We were each given a different colour top with I *pacman ghost picture* London, (I ghost London) which is obviously ironic to the films title, so my 'costume' was a white skirt and blue pacman t-shirt.  (and yes I really want to buy one now!)
The scene we shot was very short but so much fun to do!
There were a group of "Roman ghost soldiers" sitting outside a cafe and we had to weir for the directors cue before running up to them and asking for their autograph etc, the table of Romans i went to were ludicrously funny, they made it so much easier and more relaxing to film. We did a couple of run through's and then the real shot a couple more. The second clip we were acting as a small group out for a days shopping in London when one of the girls spots the Roman ghost and we all run towards them. To make it fit the previous shot of us running to the Romans we had to run in from a different angle, this meant walking down the street normally, then when the director called we turned and ran the opposite side of the camera so we were running diagonally across the screen so we stopped side on from where the other actors we sitting, we ran through it a couple of times and repeated the actual shot about 3-4 times. During takes it was quite easy to interact with the other cast (the Romans) and we finished about 7:10.
All in all it was such an amazing day, the actors were all really easy to laugh with which made it so much more fun and easy to film, it was really interesting to see what happen in front and behind the camera and amazing to be a part of it even for one small scene. I really hope i get to do some more acting again soon, it was so much fun!

I'm expecting my first grey hair any day now...(18 and getting old.)

CK Casting News!

So i realised it's been quite a while since I last posted, and since then i've turned 18, as have most of my friends, i'm finishing A-Levels this month and getting ready to go to uni!
However,

I got my very first casting call almost 9 months after i signed up, remember my first post? http://libbyysworld.blogspot.com/2009/09/ck-casting-day.html (excuse the picture, it's terrible) But i got a phone call today to ask if i wanted to go along for a days shooting as in extra in London for the film "The Great Ghost Rescue" which is due to be released in 2011! I almost hit the roof, i'd been talking things over not three days ago about how nothing had happened since September, it's the whole "talk of the devil" thing :D
I'm super excited, it'll be a great experience and i can't wait for this Thursday!
I did some research about who's in it http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1185244/ and a basic plot summery about the book by Eva Ibbotson http://www.joblo.com/arrow/index.php?id=21888 and found some pictures http://www.empireonline.com/news/feed.asp?NID=27885

I can't wait to see what actually happens 'on set' even if there is a lot of sitting or standing around, :)
